I came across few posts that fuel general feeling, especially after the COVID years of 2019 – 2020 that time seems to move faster, people seem to have lost memory of what happened in past four or five years. I am one of those included, my mind still seems to be stuck in 2020, the coming off COVID years as the restrictions loosened up on movements around the city, you could travel and so forth.
Few suggestions are eyebrow raising, the earth is moving faster (which is actually true), which is causing this phenomenon. Or, the world has passed on to a different paradigm, some kinda black hole, so we are actually living in a different time zone, like time travel five years forward. Some suggest the world actually ended in 2012! We are just living a virtual reality.
I think I have a feeling its all down to one thing, explosion of social media. Those flying, unconscious, drifting hours spent looking down on your phone or computer screen scrolling through Facebook posts, TikTok or YouTube videos and all other so called ‘social networks’ that are actually taking us away from the fundamentals of human society. We actually do go into some kinda ‘black hole’, our mind that is, when we are in that transfixed state. Is this the future? If so, then we are indeed creating a parallel universe, a virtual reality, from where we come down when we are too tired to continue, to the real ‘real’ world, and don’t seem to fit in.
